please have a new project coming soon, its about migrating from EIGRP to OSPF our LAN campus infra. anyone have been doing this in the past? if yes please advise any step to archived this.

I would start by looking at the resource utilization on the routers. The most important design consideration would be placement of Area 0. Pay close attention to summarization points if you have any. Hope this gives you a start point.
