ASA firewall pass out

hello folks have a quick question , why bunch of company n away from ASA firewall,
some said ASA doesnt handle layer 7.

For layer 7 firewall you need to upgrade to FTD. The old ASA doesnt handle layer 7 (like all old statefull old firewalls)
